Taking a Positive Approach

How do you approach a simple, daily, typical task?  How do you proceed toward a daunting task? How do you respond to an unexpected obstacle? Most often, the outcomes of your circumstances are directly linked to the demeanor of the approach taken as you engage in numerous scenarios.

 

Your attitude is infectious and carries over into how you process information and respond or react. Think about a time when you received some sort of good news or joy and how this emotion carried with you into projects, decisions, conversations, or even thoughts following the event. Do you remember how open and free-flowing your mind was during this time? Your thoughts were probably bursting with innovative and creative abundance, desperate for a problem to solve! Now, think of an event that led to intense feelings of stress, pain, or negativity, and recall the tightness in your mind and the squashing of thoughts, ideas, and solutions. It was probably a struggle to think rationally or make the simplest decisions.  Do you recall your productivity level following these harsh and adverse emotions? In each scenario, recall how you felt and responded in both a personal and professional aspect. Do you wish you would have responded or handled yourself differently? Would you like to acclimate yourself to a new automatic response for future situations?

 

Benefits of Choosing a Positive Approach:

  • Your mind expands.  When you allow positive energy to flow through your body's cells, your mind expands and is open to ideas, possibilities, new thoughts, creative alternatives, and a realization of an abundance of opportunities and solutions. It is endless where your mind will take you when it flows with high-frequency vibrations, and it expands and gives way to even more good thoughts and ideas in return. And where your focus goes, energy flows, and actions show. And in this case, positive and favorable actions will result.
  • Avoidance of mental clutter.  Encountering events with a positive attitude prevents stress and anxiety from accumulating and cluttering your mind. When you allow negativity to build up and block the free flow of light and easy thoughts, the negative, heavier ones layer upon themselves and build up clutter in your mind—think of them as "sticky" and heavy. Once they build up, it is difficult to remove them, and any light favorable thought could get trapped or "stuck" to the clutter, accumulating and breeding more negativism or stress, thereby losing its initial impact. Choosing a positive approach each time can prevent the buildup or layering of this tacky, unwanted, heavy thought process.
  • Builds confidence in yourself.  As you begin each endeavor with a positive outlook, and your mind and thoughts respond with an abundance of creative ideas for pursuit, you will build confidence in yourself and your ability to not only handle any situation but also to handle it well, with wisdom, creativity, grace, and ultimately, success. A positive approach is a sure sign of a confident person.
  • Builds respect and confidence from others.  With a consistently positive approach, others will perceive you as a person who is confident, capable, and responsible enough to handle random conditions that present themselves at any time, and you possess the ability to keep a level head with the determination to persevere. People will trust your leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Improved quality of life.  Leading your life with a positive approach will guarantee a more peaceful and enjoyable quality of life. Challenges will always be expected at some point, and often many, but a positive outlook allows for a spirit of peace and contentment and a sense of security that there will always be a variety of solutions, willing people to help, and wisdom and serenity that flows through an open mind.
  • A leader to be imitated.  When you approach your life with a commendatory pursuit, you will be exemplified by those seeking to acquire the leadership skills you are displaying. It is not always easy to choose to see obstacles with a hope-filled favorable approach and underlying security that a solution will soon be uncovered. It is even unnatural. That is why it will cause you to shine as a leader above the many. This outstanding character quality will refine your image and induce the reputation of an admirable leader.
  • You are approachable.  If you think about someone negatively approaching a task, it is difficult to muster the strength to want to become part of the solution by working alongside this person. When you have a pleasant and hopeful demeanor, you indirectly encourage others to open their minds to possible creative ideas and solutions and instigate the desire to engage in the process. People each have their own distinct experiences and can each draw on different situations. This is very advantageous and opens doors to various possible solutions or outcomes. Let the positive energy flow throughout each situation and person encountered, and be amazed at the propensity of possibilities.

 

It is common sense to reason that high importance should be placed on how you approach things in your life. As your responses to situations are basically preprogrammed, based on how you already trained your mind to process information and then react, it is worthwhile to evaluate the source of your thoughts and your current state of mind. Is it filled with positive high-frequency vibrations?  Or is it filled with negative clutter? As discussed above, if your mind is filled with heavy, low-density mental clutter, it blocks the flow of ideas, creativity, and solutions. Although it will take time, breaking down and eliminating this clutter and replacing and filling your mind with positive energy, thoughts, and ideas is vital and worthwhile. When your mind is conditioned in this supportive manner, your approach, responses, and outcomes to situations will already be preprogrammed to be light, favorable, creative, fruitful, and abundantly advantageous.

 

Some ideas for clearing clutter include recognizing the derivation of the negative source or sources, utilizing mindful awareness, and then choosing to release the negativity. Meditation and prayer are beneficial to clearing and reframing the mind with favorable, positive, and promising thoughts, ideas, and concepts. A healthy diet, proper nutrition, and some form of exercise will also aid in feelings of well-being and overall health and wellness. Plenty of sleep is also imperative to this healthy process. The key is to focus on prioritizing this and finding what works best for you to reprogram your mind from a form of negativism to a state of positive energy and experience the affirmative and constructive qualities that go hand-in-hand with it.  It is all a choice only you can make, and it is positively astounding and endlessly worthwhile.
