Chapter 4, part 1: Declutter Your Mind from A Book in Time

According to Tiffany:

When a person changes the meaning behind an experience, that individual's behavior also changes. How about reframing? Reframing your mind is about learning to look at something and have a different thought or feeling about it. Are there ways you can look at this scenario? Are there other solutions?

Content reframing is an efficient way to change unhealthy habits into positive ones. You can fix the problem by changing how you live and think about your life.

Being alone can help you learn more about your genuine self while allowing you to take care of your priorities above others. Time spent alone can be one of the most exhilarating experiences for figuring out your passions, goals, desires, and individual growth. Even though you think you know what you want, you struggle to accomplish it because of the familiarity you have endured throughout the years.

According to Tiffany, some benefits of being alone:

1.  you become more creative

2.  it's a cure for what holds you back

3.  you can see more clearly

4.  you can gain an individual perspective

5.  you can become your own leader

Personal growth is about learning to reflect on your own experiences and then fixing the troubles that hold you back. By never allowing yourself to be alone with your thoughts, you can never truly understand your deepest fears, weaknesses, or even what strengths may be hidden within you. Identify the root of your fear.  Take time to yourself to reflect on your thoughts. Take a mental break from your hectic life.

Professionally:  Taking time to identify your strengths and weaknesses is important. When was the last time you did this? If it was over six months ago, maybe it's time to focus on this activity again. Awareness of your strengths and weaknesses gives you a better understanding of yourself and how you operate. It is important to know what your capacities are. Strengths may be used to further your growth and development in your career. You can leverage and apply them for personal development or career success. Strengths are attributes that come easily to you. And generally, they are also things you enjoy, probably because they come naturally. What thoughts come to your mind when you consider strengths? Can you think of a few characteristics that stand out? Are these attributes currently being utilized in the workplace? If not, how can you apply them to your business realm to increase your productivity or creativity? Leverage them as much as possible. Next, identify criteria that may be holding you back from achieving your full potential. Begin addressing each of these weaknesses and reframe them positively as to how they could benefit your career. Write all of these markers down, both strengths and weaknesses. Knowing this information allows you to capitalize on your strengths, thereby improving your opportunities for growth and success.  And reframing your weaknesses allows you to avoid either what may hinder your performance or allow an opportunity to turn a weakness into a positive asset. Focus more on enhancing and driving your strengths and the positive energy released from an empowering asset. This will also continue to boost your self-confidence, motivation, and overall performance.

Personally:  According to psychology research, fear is a natural, powerful, and primitive human emotion that involves a universal biochemical response and a high individual emotional response. It may be useful in alerting us of a potential threat or danger. Yet it may also originate from an imaginary source. "Some common fear triggers include: certain specific objects or situations (such as spiders, snakes, heights, flying, etc.), future events, imagined events, real environmental dangers, or the unknown," from verywellmind.com. I won't go in-depth on the detailed concept of fear but will focus on some ways to cope with this potentially debilitating emotion. Realizing that fear often stems from something that has not even happened, or may never happen, may help calm the mind and bring about a proper perspective. Practicing mindfulness is another method of becoming fully aware of your thoughts and reframing them with truth and more helpful ones. Stay connected with family, close friends, and loved ones for support. Engage in some form of meditation, breathing, or relaxation technique. Refocus on positive thoughts, and recall what you are thankful for. Show gratitude and even praise the Creator for all the blessings you have in your life.  Find a way to help or serve others and take your focus off of you. Sometimes rather than entirely focusing on you and your circumstance, transitioning that focus to others lovingly and helpful can replace fear with compassion, love, contentment, and joy. Eat a healthy diet and get an adequate amount of sleep and exercise. It is amazing how perspectives change when the body is well-rested and cared for. Be kind to yourself, share your concerns with others, release the negative energy, and replace it with high-frequency empowering energy instead.

Spiritually:  There are numerous benefits to spending time alone. It is important to contemplate your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This time allows you to create your own perspectives and design how you want your mind to be programmed. As thoughts lead to feelings, and feelings lead to automatic reactions, it is important to program your mind to align with your perspectives. Being alone allows you to reboot and organize all of your thoughts. This is a perfect time to meditate, allow creative ideas to flow, and recharge. There is so much noise in your everyday life that alone time helps remove you from this clutter, improves focus and overall health, and allows the time spent with loved ones to be even more meaningful.

"The time you spend alone with God will transform your character and increase your devotion. Then your integrity and Godly behavior in an unbelieving world will make others long to know the LORD."

Charles Stanley

"I think it's very healthy to spend time alone.  You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person."

Oscar Wilde

"We can be tired, weary and emotionally distraught, but after spending time alone with God, we find that He injects into our bodies energy, power and strength."

Charles Stanley
