DECLARATION 22: "I am committed to constantly learning and growing."
According to Harv:
Continuously updating knowledge and skills is essential in both professional and personal life. Wealth File 17 states, "Rich people constantly learn and grow. Poor people think they already know". T. Harv Eker says these are dangerous words: "I know that." If you're not as successful as you'd like to be, there is something you don't know. Change your thoughts from "know it all" to "learn it all." Poor people try to prove they are right. You can be right, or you can be rich, but you can't be both. Harv says if you are not growing, you are dying. If you think education is expensive, try ignorance. Knowledge is power. And power is the ability to act. Every master was once a disaster. Getting rich isn't so much about the money. It is about WHO you become. The fastest way to get rich is to grow you. The key to success is to BE-DO-HAVE. Success isn't a what; it's a WHO. This is trainable and learnable. Rich people are experts in their field. Learn from true masters. Hire a personal success coach. The more you learn, the more you earn. Harv concludes Secrets by suggesting you read at least one book per month. Recite the declarations aloud daily and read through Secrets of the Millionaire Mind monthly for a year. The mark of true wealth is determined by how much you can GIVE away.
A Book in Time's Commentary:
Professionally: While I may not agree with all of Harv's ideas and words, I do agree that learning and continuing education is extremely important to maintain a healthy career. As Harv mentioned, the more you learn, the more you earn. Knowledge is a key to advancement and promotion. The more you know, the greater your options in a job or position selection, flexibility, financial advancement, and job satisfaction. Create a learning plan. Define business goals of what is hoped to be achieved and make an actionable plan regarding how to support it. Set time aside each day to learn something new to enhance your understanding of your field or business. Technology is advancing rapidly, and you better be able to keep up, or someone else will pass you by.
Personally: Personal growth is the improvement of our skills, knowledge, and other personal qualities. This helps you to be the best self you can be and live a content and fulfilling life. This may involve a positive mental, physical, and spiritual transformation. This includes learning, as well as applying what you learned, and reprogramming your mind. Areas of growth include emotional, mental, and social skills, spiritual self, and overall health and well-being. Personal growth also leads to a more loving relationship with yourself and others.
Spiritually: Spiritual growth is essential for a better, happier, and more accordant life, free of fear and anxiety. In this process, you expel the incorrect concepts and beliefs and refine the insights into who you are and the world surrounding you. Through this, you reach a state of inner peace. You build inner strength, and your confidence grows as well. By removing limiting and negative thoughts, you allow positive and supportive energy to flow through every cell of your body. "The path of spiritual growth is a path of lifelong learning" M. Scott Peck. "He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness" 2 Corinthians 9:10.
